Within my soul I have always heard
a quiet voice and celestrial sounds,
Sweet, etherial, unworldly tones
yet left within and in me found.
Standing on shore a sunset enveloping,
angelic voices fill air and space,
praising the universe for gifts unseen
revolving unnoticed by veiled hearts and faces.
My heart must sing the songs confided,
the words entwined tightly in the rest,
the vibrations, intonations, emotions of life,
in the music created and living in the blessed.
For I am not alone in privilege entrusted
with vibrant notes resounding within,
with human inadeqacies the blessed persevere
recreating the music from where it began,
Placed in our hearts that are always full
of the stories we know we must retell
and the songs we embody within our spirits
whose magnificent sounds we know so well.

- I am a mother of nine children, divorced after thirty years and remarried to a wonderful man with six grown children of his own. I have been singing for as long as I can remember. I gave up creating a professional career when I married young and raised nine children, with no regrets. Always sang in choirs, church choirs, for weddings, etc. Keep up with all current trends in music and song. Still would like that career, however small. I recently tried out for America's Got Talent, and am waiting to hear the results of that audition. Singing is praying.... twice!

ReplyDeleteYesterday I watched Adam Lambert and Susan Boyle on Oprah. Susan Boyle gives me hope for the future I always wanted, even though I have no regrets in raising and having my wonderful children. Rewards for that decision are given by the universe every day, and I am grateful and appreciative deeply for those gifts. Adam said something in his great interview about 'visualization'. He 'visualized' (or prayed, which as Adam pointed out, is really the same thing) what he wanted his future to be. So I am doing the same. I want my future to be as a successful, later in life, singer. I want to be chosen by America's Got Talent for the next audition, and move up with each try. I don't need to win, or even be in the top section, but just to be recognized for my talent and picked up by a promotional company interested in marketing and developing me as a new 'talent' on the current scene. I want to take my husband along with me (and make my children proud) on a ride of personal and financial success that we never dreamed possible. I am putting all these positive vibes out into the hands of God, the universe, and Karma. I believe I can do this and that the universe will support me! You have to BELIEVE!
